Umm el-Jimal is located about 80km northeast of Amman, Jordan's capital, and about 20km east of the northern city of Mafraq.
Several options exist for travel to the site, which makes an excellent day trip:

Public Transportation:
Regular buses go to Mafraq from Abdali and Raghadan stations in Amman. From Mafraq, take a minibus to Umm el-Jimal.

By Car:
From Mafraq, head east on Highway 10. After 16km, turn north at the sign for Umm el-Jimal, traveling 3km to reach the site.
