Although major research excavations have concluded, the Umm el-Jimal project is active and there are numerous ways to get involved. For instance, one major current initiative is supplementing and converting analog research data into a comprehensive, digital archive of work completed at the site. In addition, conservation planning and efforts are also underway by researchers and the Department of Antiquities of Jordan. See below for a variety of opportunities.
